Take the slow way through the hills.
Two nights in Kandy, two in Nuwara Eliya and three around Ella give the highlands time to unfold. The railway is a chapter of its own, not just a transfer. Bentota changes the mood at the end, with two coastal nights before the journey home.

Day 1
Arrive in Kandy
Travel from the airport to Kandy and settle in. The proposed evening includes the Temple of the Tooth, the Thevava ceremony and a Kandyan dance performance.
Day 2
Gardens & city views
Explore Peradeniya’s Royal Botanic Gardens and take in the city from Kandy View Point. Stay a second night in Kandy.
Day 3
Ramboda Falls & tea country
Journey to Nuwara Eliya through the highlands, stopping at Ramboda Falls. A tea-factory visit can be added along the way.
Day 4
An unhurried highland day
Spend time in Nuwara Eliya at your own pace, with a visit to Seetha Amman Temple. A Gregory Lake boat trip is an optional addition.
Day 5
The railway to Ella
Travel from Nanu Oya to Ella through the tea-growing highlands. Rail tickets and timetable are confirmed when planning the trip.
Days 6–7
Stay a little longer in Ella
Visit Nine Arches Bridge and Ravana Falls, with time to relax or explore Ella. Optional activities include the Flying Ravana zipline and Ella Swing.
Days 8–9
A coastal finish in Bentota
Travel to Bentota and settle into your beach stay. Keep the days relaxed, or discuss an evening excursion to Galle Fort.

Departure from Bentota
Return to Bandaranaike International Airport, with the transfer arranged around your flight.
