A proposed route, shaped around your dates. Price and availability are confirmed personally.

The feel of the journey
Anuradhapura leads into two nights in Jaffna, with time for the peninsula’s temples, fort and shores. Then the journey turns towards Trincomalee before settling in Kandy. A highland excursion adds one more landscape without changing your final base.
Day 1
Travel to Anuradhapura and take the remainder of the day at leisure.
Day 2
Explore Sri Maha Bodhi, Ruwanwelisaya and Anuradhapura’s ancient monasteries and stupas. Stay a second night in the city.
Day 3
Journey to Jaffna, then visit Nallur Kandaswamy Kovil, Jaffna Fort and the Public Library as opening times allow.
Day 4
Visit Keerimalai’s springs and spend time at Casuarina Beach before returning to Jaffna.
Day 5
Travel to Trincomalee, with a lunch stop along the way. Settle into your coastal stay; seaside high tea is an optional addition.

Day 6
Discuss an early whale-and-dolphin watching trip, subject to suitable conditions. Later visit Koneswaram Temple and Lover’s Leap on Swami Rock.
Day 7
Continue to Kandy and settle in. Keep the afternoon relaxed, with time for the lake or your hotel.
Day 8
Visit the Temple of the Tooth and explore Peradeniya’s Royal Botanic Gardens.
Day 9
Make a return day excursion to Nuwara Eliya for Hakgala gardens, Gregory Lake and Seetha Amman Temple. Overnight remains in Kandy.
Day 10
Return to Bandaranaike International Airport in time for your onward flight.
